Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said the 1971 dream remains unfulfilled, calling the February election a ‘referendum’ for democracy. She condemned assassination attempts as ‘cowardly’ and affirmed the interim government’s efforts to rebuild a collapsed state and ensure election security.

NCP Convener Nahid Islam, speaking on Victory Day, stressed that July fighters must rely on self-organization for security, not government or police. He framed the upcoming election as a referendum to ensure Bangladesh never returns to its pre-August 5 state.
